LIFE GUIDE FOR LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE: PART 1

I'm passionate about motivating myself and others about living their best lives, whatever that may mean to each individual.

I'm all about happiness and making the most of each day and situations. In order to do that, we have to make our mental health a priority.

As women we are often made to believe we can do everything and multitask like a pro. Let's be honest most of us do, which is great if you can handle it. I'm huge on goals and multi tasking, but I also know when I need to take it easy and just rest. It's very important to do that and you shouldn't feel bad for doing that, EVER!

You might not put all in practice at once, but I have no doubt that consistently living by a few of these, will make a noticeable and significant change in your life.

I'm a firm believer that the small things we do in life makes the biggest impact.

KNOW YOUR WORTH / SELF-AWARENESS:

This is huge. Set boundaries and stick with it because you teach people how to treat you. Don't put up with anything less than you deserve, walk AWAY and never look back if it's costing you your happiness and mental health. There is a difference between being nice and kind. Be kind, but don't be nice, it's a weakness.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF:

Physically, mentally, emotionally, all of it. Wake up early to just focus on yourself and do something that makes your spirit happy. Set yourself up for a beautiful day, week, month and life. Some examples are exercising, journaling, reading and listening to music or podcasts.

BE YOURSELF:

Trying  to fit in by pretending to be someone you're not is so much work. Gosh, I can't do that for a single minute, let alone a lifetime! Do what comes natural to you, if it doesn't come natural to you, do not do it!

DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS:

In other words don't keep up with the Jones and stay in your lane even if you are the only one in it. It doesn't matter if everyone is driving the latest car, shut your eyes to it. Only do what feels right to you. Life is not a competition, it's a journey and everyone goes through it differently. Focus on your goals and go at your pace.

BE GRATEFUL AND COMPLAIN LESS:

When you are consistently grateful for what you have, you're more likely to be content and happy. You're less envious of what others have and in turn improves your emotions and overall health.

DON'T LOSE SLEEP OVER WHAT IS BEYOND YOUR CONTROL:

I always say, "why complain about things you can't change?" There's no point, do something about it if you can and if not, move on and call it a day! Don't sweat the small stuff...so what if you ate badly today, or didn't exercise today? Let it go, you can start over tomorrow as long as you do not give up entirely due to a small hiccup.

DON'T APOLOGIZE JUST BECAUSE:

I was raised to be humble and not say a word at the expense of my feelings. I constantly apologized just for peace sake and not to be seen as "disrespectful".

Thankfully that's no longer me, I only say sorry when I mean it and not because someone is demanding. You matter too and your feelings count. If you know deep down you haven't done anything wrong, don't apologize.

This is getting too long, I'll stop here for today.  I'll come back soon with part two. I hope you have taken some very important lesson so far. Thank you and SMILE!
