EASTER OUTFIT IDEA!

Easter Fashion.

Happy Easter! (Well, not quite yet, but you get the drift ;)

Now that Spring is here, the weather is warming up beautifully, plants, trees, bushes, and flowers are blooming, birds are chirping (and making a mess of my garbage when I put them out for pick up ;). I love spring, and guess what else happens during spring...Easter (Woot, woot). This year Easter is on April 21, that's less than three weeks away!

We're so excited here at my house and anxiously waiting! The children are looking foreward to the upcoming Easter egg hunt and all the sugary treats they get to load up on and I, on the other hand, is just eagar to celebrate the single most important time in history...the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

For Christians like myself, Easter is a very important festival and a holiday celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ from the dead after his crucifixion. I look forward to Easter with so much joy and happiness in my heart every year and this year is no different.

Irrespective of your religion or religious beliefs, Easter is a very big deal and a fun time for all. I remember growing up there were two occasions in a year when children and even grown-ups got to wear their pretty special occasion outfits; it was usually Christmas and Easter. It was a joyous time and we waited anxiously for these holidays all year long.

The good news is, it hasn't changed much for me. I still love these holidays and now that I have a family of my own, building new memories and making new family traditions is a must for me. I still like everything about Easter, and the discounted Easter candies, Easter bunnies, and Easter baskets I score right after Easter is, of course, a pleasant bonus! I'm seriously like a big kid in a candy store after Valentine's day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas because that's when I get the best deals!

Likewise, Easter is one of the holidays when most families and friends gather for a feast, for Easter activities enjoying each other's company and reminiscing about life in general. It's such a great time of the year, but am I the only one who doesn't love the reminiscing part as much? If you're from where I'm from you know what I'm talking about ;). Family gathering is when we hear all about our most embarrassing moments for the thousandth time! Hahaha come on, I don't want to hear how you use to bathe and feed me when I was a baby. It's kinda getting old!

It happens every single time...there's this lady who wouldn't stop telling me about a time in history when baby ol me soiled her outfit. Mind you, it has been decades and I have no recollection of the incident or the lady for that matter, but she makes it a point to remind me every time she sees me. Hey lady, (in my head, of course, lol) you said you carried me on your back so obviously, I was a baby so why bother reminding me every time you see me? Hahaha gotta love aunties and uncles!

Anyway, that was just, by the way...spending times with loved one is tremendously important because they are more or less our social circle and brings out the best in us (most of the time) and gives us a sense of belonging. That's what life is all about, so enjoy it, have fun and be jolly.

Today I'm sharing an elegant, conservative, stylish and affordable outfit idea to help planning Easter outfits a little stress-free. If you're still wondering what to wear to church, here is how to dress and look your best for Easter Sunday. Easter screams cheerful colours, bright colours mixed with a whole lot of pastel colours. That's when we see all shades of blues, pinks, greens, purples all around us. If you've been following me for a while, you know I love all things colour so when Easter comes around I'm one happy soul.

So think colours or even florals (since it's spring) when planning outfits for yourself or the family. Make it fun, be playful and do something out of the ordinary for you. If you usually stay away from colours try choosing a bright neon colour, fun bold patterns or floral prints and see how you like it, you never know.

It's important to keep the weather in mind during the planning stage, because although its officially, spring, we're still in the transitional spring phase and it could be chilly at times. Some families like to coordinate outfits so they can take family Easter pictures looking their best. Others like to dress casual and will not go all out, that's totally ok. I realize not everyone likes to look fancy, so if you feel like wearing fun colour jeans, white pants, or leggings with a cute top and flats, go for it! The most important thing about Easter is enjoying the festivities with family and friends, dressing up is a bonus.

My outfit for Easter is this beautiful flamingo print a line skirt ( I love flamingos, what can I say). I really like the colours in the skirt and I love how it fits my body type. It pairs beautifully with this rich dark blue cold shoulder long sleeves bodysuit. My light pink open toe heels and metallic pink clutch complement the pink in the skirt quite well. My jewelry is to a minimum with a dainty pearl stud earring and beaded bracelet to finish off this elegant, stylish and gorgeous outfit for Easter Sunday. I've linked similar items to achieve this look below.

That's all folks, I hope this inspires you to pull off a fabulous look for this Easter's festivities! Are you more of a fancy or casual outfit person when it comes to Easter fashion? Share it in the comment section or better yet post a picture of you looking your best for Easter, so we can all get some inspirations for our next special occasion outfit.
